Create a ShopQuote

Build a quote from products and a customer, set pricing, expiry and protection, then save it.

Go to ShopQuotes and click Create ShopQuote. The page works like a Shopify draft order, with quote settings on the right. Click Create ShopQuote in the save bar when you're done.

Note: A quote needs at least one product and a customer before it can be saved. The Create ShopQuote button stays off once your plan's live quote limit is reached.

Start from a draft order

If the draft order already exists in Shopify, click Import draft order, tick the orders you want and confirm. Each one loads with its products, customer and pricing. Importing two or more creates a merged ShopQuote.

You can also start from the draft order itself. In Shopify, open the draft order, click More actions and choose Create ShopQuote.

Products

  1. Under Order details, search for a product or click Browse to pick from your catalog.

  2. Click Add custom item for anything not in your store. Give it a name, price, quantity and SKU, and say whether it's taxable and needs shipping.

  3. Change the quantity or price on any line. Click the line's menu to add a discount or add properties the customer will see.

  4. Drag lines to reorder them.

Customer

Under Customer, search by name or email, or type a new name to create one. A customer with a Shopify B2B company shows the company and location, and the quote uses that company's pricing. Use the customer's menu to edit the contact information, shipping address or billing address, or to remove them.

Payment

  • Add discount: a fixed amount or a percentage off the whole quote, with a reason the customer sees. Discount codes from your store apply too.

  • Add shipping or delivery: pick a shipping rate, pickup in store, local delivery, or a custom rate with its own name and price.

  • Charge taxes: turn tax off for this quote. A tax exempt customer shows as Customer exempt.

The total updates as you go. Under Markets, pick the currency the customer pays in.

Quote settings

  • Template: the design of the quote page. Your default is preselected.

  • Expiration date: click the pencil to choose Default (from your settings), Custom date & time, or Never expires.

Protect quote

Tick Enable to ask the customer for a PIN before the quote opens. Type your own or click Generate PIN. A PIN marked Default is the one from your settings. Protected quotes show a lock in the list.

Notes and tags

Notes is an internal note for your team. The customer never sees it. Tags are Shopify draft order tags, useful for filtering the list later.

Attachments

Save the quote first, then click Add under Attachments to upload files. Each file is Private (your team only) or Public (anyone with the quote link can download it). Attachments are available on higher plans.

Save

Click Create ShopQuote. The quote goes live, gets its expiry and opens on its own page, ready to share. You return to the same page later to edit it, until it's completed.
