A ShopQuote is a quote your customer can open, review and pay for. It is built on a Shopify draft order, so the products, prices and customer live in your Shopify admin. This page walks through the flow in order.
How a ShopQuote works
Every ShopQuote has one status at a time.
Live | The customer can open it and check out. Live quotes count toward your plan's limit. |
Completed | The customer paid. The draft order became an order in Shopify. |
Expired | The expiry date passed. The customer sees an expired message instead of the quote. |
Deactivated | You turned it off. It no longer counts toward your limit and the link stops working. |
Step 1: Create the quote
Click ShopQuotes in the menu, then Create ShopQuote. Add products and a customer, set discounts, shipping and tax, and choose an expiry and template. You can also start from a draft order you already have. See Create a ShopQuote.
Step 2: Share it
From the quote, click Share. Copy the link, send it by email from your own address, or download a PDF. See Share a ShopQuote.
Step 3: Track it
The ShopQuotes list shows every quote with its status, total and latest activity. Hover the activity count to see when the customer viewed it, scanned the QR code or clicked checkout. See Manage your ShopQuotes.
Step 4: Quote several orders at once
Select two or more quotes in the list and click Merge, or add another quote from the quote page. The customer gets one link that covers all of them. See Merged ShopQuotes.
Step 5: Close the sale
When the customer checks out, the quote moves to Completed and the order appears in Shopify like any other. Nothing else to do.
Tip: Set your default expiry, PIN and templates once under ShopQuotes > Settings. Every new quote starts from those.
