Edit a template

Find your way around the editor: the widget tree, theme, settings, device preview and saving.

The editor opens from Template library > Saved templates > Customize. The canvas on the right shows the template with sample data. The panel on the left changes what you see.

The header

  • Name: click the pencil to rename the template. Press Enter to finish or Escape to put the old name back. The new name is saved with your other changes.

  • Last saved: when the template was last saved.

  • Desktop and Mobile: switch the canvas width to check both layouts. Quote templates only, since a PDF has one fixed width.

  • ⋯: Duplicate or Delete the template. Save or discard your changes first, the menu is off while there are unsaved changes.

Template

The Template panel lists every widget in the order it appears on the page.

  • Select: click a widget in the list or on the canvas to open its settings. The arrow at the top takes you back to the list.

  • Add: hover between two rows and click +, or use the + buttons on the canvas. Only widgets that fit that spot are offered. Widgets that appear once per template drop out of the menu once added.

  • Reorder: drag the handle on the left of a row. A widget moves within its own section or column.

  • Delete: select the widget and click the bin icon in the panel title.

Sections and columns are the template's layout skeleton. Clicking one expands or collapses it, and its settings read This part of the layout is set by the template author. Widgets inside stay fully editable. Some widgets may also have settings the template author has hidden.

Theme

The Theme panel holds every color, font and radius. Widgets read from here, so one change updates the whole template.

Colors

Primary, Secondary, Background, Foreground, Outline and Text.

Layout

Gap between widgets, 0 to 64 px. Card corner radius: Sharp, Soft or Rounded. Button radius: Sharp, Soft, Rounded or Pill.

Typography

Heading font, Heading size 12 to 32 px, Heading weight 100 to 900, Body font and Body size 10 to 20 px.

Custom CSS

Styles for the whole template, for anything the theme fields can't express. Each widget has its own class names, listed in the helper under the field.

Settings

Quote templates have a Page width slider, 700 to 2000 px, and fields for your Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat links. The Announcement bar and Footer widgets show an icon for each link you fill in.

PDF templates have a File name field for the downloaded document. It accepts variables such as {quote_id}.

Save and discard

Any change shows the save bar at the top of the window. Click Save to keep everything, name included, or Discard to go back to the last saved version. A Template saved message confirms the save.

If you press the browser back button with unsaved changes, the editor asks Leave page with unsaved changes? before closing.
