Templates control how your quotes look, both on the quote page your customer opens and in the PDF they download. This page walks through the setup in order.
Two kinds of template
Each template belongs to one channel.
Quote templates | The web page a customer opens from the quote email. It adapts to desktop and mobile. |
PDF templates | The document a customer downloads from a quote. It has a fixed page layout. |
The library holds ready made templates. Using one adds a copy to Saved templates. That copy is yours to edit, and your changes never touch the library version.
Step 1: Open the library
Click Template library in the ShopQuotes menu. Three tabs sit at the top: Quote templates, PDF templates and Saved templates.
Step 2: Use a template
Click Preview on any card to see it at full size, then Use template. There are four quote designs and four PDF designs, all free. See Use a template from the library.
Step 3: Customize it
Open Saved templates and click Customize. The editor has three panels: Template for the widgets, Theme for colors and fonts, and Settings for page width and social links. See Edit a template.
Step 4: Set up the widgets
Click a widget in the tree or on the canvas to change its settings. Add widgets with the + buttons, and drag the handle to reorder them. See Quote template widgets and PDF template widgets.
Step 5: Set your default
The first template you use for each channel becomes your default. To change it, open Saved templates, click the ⋯ menu on a template and choose Set as default. New quotes and PDF downloads use the default unless you pick another.
Step 6: Check it on a quote
Open a ShopQuote.
Under Quote Settings, choose the template in the Template field.
Click Preview to see the quote page.
Click Download PDF and pick a PDF template to check the document.
Tip: Once the preview looks right, you're done. Every new quote uses your default template from here on.
