Every request a customer submits appears under Quote Requests. From there you review what they asked for, adjust it, and accept it to create a ShopQuote, or archive it.
The list
Four numbers sit at the top.
Pending requests | Requests waiting for you. |
Pending requests value | What those requests add up to. |
Accepted requests | Requests you have turned into ShopQuotes. |
Acceptance rate | Accepted as a share of all requests. |
Below them, the table shows Quote ID, Customer, Submission date, Status and Total.
Switch between Pending, Accepted and Archived with the tabs.
Search by customer name, email or quote ID, for example
#Q-123.Filter by submission date and total. Sort by quote ID, value or date.
Select several pending requests to Archive them together, or archived ones to Unarchive.
A request
Click a request to open it. The header shows its ID, status and when it was submitted.
Products | What the customer asked for, with quantities. Change quantities, remove items, add more with Search products to add, or click Add custom item for something not in your catalogue. |
Form submission | The customer's answers to your form. You can correct them. |
Internal note | Private. Carried onto the ShopQuote when you accept. |
Currency | The currency the customer shopped in. The ShopQuote is created in it. |
Any change shows a save bar. Save before you accept or archive.
Accept
Click Accept. ShopQuotes creates a draft order in Shopify with the products, the customer's email and phone, and any addresses from the form. It then creates a ShopQuote linked to that draft order. The request moves to Accepted and the button becomes View ShopQuote details.
From there it is a normal ShopQuote. Send it to the customer, and they can check out from it.
Note: If Shopify cannot create the draft order, for example because a variant is no longer available, the reason shows in a banner on the request. Fix the products and click Accept again.
Note: If you have reached your plan's limit of active ShopQuotes, Accept shows a warning instead. Complete or deactivate some ShopQuotes, or upgrade.
Archive
Click Archive to set a request aside without accepting it. It moves to the Archived tab. Open it and click Unarchive to bring it back to Pending.
Statuses
Pending | Waiting for you. Editable. |
Accepted | A ShopQuote has been created from it. Read only. |
Archived | Set aside. Can be unarchived. |
Accept automatically
To skip the manual step, create an automation with the trigger A customer requests a quote and the action Create the ShopQuote from the request. Add Send an email to the customer after it and the quote goes out on its own.
