NetWise pricing is applied automatically when a wholesale customer shops on your storefront and reaches the cart. Draft orders you create in Shopify Admin work differently: pricing is not applied as you build the order. Instead, you save the draft order and then trigger NetWise pricing with a single action.
This article walks through that process.

Can NetWise discounts be applied to Shopify manual draft orders?
Yes. NetWise adds an Apply NetWise pricing action to draft orders in Shopify Admin.
You do not need to look up wholesale prices and type them in. NetWise checks the customer's pricing catalogue and applies the correct prices to the order for you.
The one requirement is that the draft order must be saved before the action becomes available.
Are NetWise discounts automatically applied to manual draft orders?
No. Pricing is applied when you trigger it, not as you build the order.
Products are added at their retail price, and they stay at retail until you save the order and run Apply NetWise pricing. This is different from the storefront, where wholesale pricing appears without any action from you.
Storefront: product page → cart → checkout — pricing applies automatically Shopify Admin draft order: add products → select customer → save → apply pricing manually
How do I create a manual draft order in Shopify?
From Shopify Admin, go to Orders → Drafts.
Click Create order.
An empty draft order opens, ready for you to add products and a customer.
How do I select the customer for the draft order?
In the Customer section, search for the customer by name or email.
Select the correct customer record.
The customer must be attached before you apply NetWise pricing. NetWise uses the customer to determine which pricing catalogue applies, so without a customer there is nothing for it to look up.
If the customer does not belong to any pricing catalogue, no discount will be applied. That is expected behaviour, not an error.
How do I add products to the draft order?
In the Products section, click Add product.
Search or browse for the product, then select the variants you need.
Set the quantity for each line item.
Products are added at retail price at this stage. That is expected — pricing is applied in the next step.
Add all the products you need before applying pricing. If you add more products afterwards, they will come in at retail price and you will need to apply pricing again.
How do I apply the NetWise discounted price?
Step 1 — Save the draft order. Click Save. This step is required. The Apply NetWise pricing action does not appear on an unsaved draft order.
Step 2 — Open More actions. With the saved draft order open, click More actions and select Apply NetWise pricing.
Step 3 — Review the result. NetWise checks the customer's pricing catalogue and updates the order. The applicable discounts are shown on the order.
If the customer is not assigned to a pricing catalogue, no discount is applied and the order stays at retail price.
How can I verify that the correct NetWise price has been applied?
After running Apply NetWise pricing, check that:
Line item prices have changed from retail to the wholesale price.
The discounts NetWise applied are listed on the order.
Quantity break pricing matches the quantities ordered.
The order subtotal reflects wholesale pricing.
If nothing changed, the customer is most likely not assigned to a pricing catalogue. See the next question.
What should I do if the NetWise price is not shown in the draft order?
Work through these in order:
Did you save the draft order? The action is unavailable until the order is saved.
Is a customer attached? NetWise needs a customer to determine pricing.
Does that customer belong to a pricing catalogue? If not, no discount applies and prices stay at retail. This is expected.
Does the catalogue include these specific products? Products outside the catalogue stay at retail price.
Is the catalogue active?
Did you run Apply NetWise pricing after adding all products? Products added afterwards are not priced.
If the customer also sees retail pricing on the storefront, the draft order is not the cause — see the Display Settings and Customers articles, or contact support.
