ShopQuotes Overview

What ShopQuotes does, how the pieces fit together, and the order to set them up.

ShopQuotes turns Shopify draft orders into quotes your customers can open, review and pay for online. This page shows how the app fits together and the order to set it up. Each step links to the full guide.

The two ways a quote starts

You create it

Build a ShopQuote from products and a customer, or from a draft order you already have. Share the link, the email or the PDF.

The customer asks for it

A shopper clicks Request a Quote on your storefront. The request lands in ShopQuotes, you review it and accept it as a ShopQuote.

Either way the customer gets one link, and checkout happens in Shopify. Every page of the app lives in the left menu.

Step 1: Pick your templates

Open Template library and use a quote template and a PDF template. They control how the quote page and the downloaded document look, and both are yours to customize. See Template Editor Overview.

Step 2: Connect your email

Open Email notifications and connect the address quotes are sent from. Add your logo and colors to the email, and choose who on your team is told when a request comes in. See Email Notifications Overview.

Step 3: Set your defaults

Under ShopQuotes > Settings, set how long quotes stay open before they expire, whether new quotes ask for a PIN, and the domain the quote link uses. See How do I create ShopQuotes on my own domain?.

Step 4: Send your first quote

Open ShopQuotes and click Create ShopQuote. Add products and a customer, then share it. The list tracks every view, click and checkout. See ShopQuotes Overview.

Step 5: Let customers ask

Open Quote Requests to turn on the Request a Quote button, choose which products can be quoted, and build the form shoppers fill in. See Quote Requests Overview.

Step 6: Automate the follow up

Open Automations to send reminders, tag quotes, expire them or notify your team when something happens. See Automations Overview.

Tip: The Home page has a setup guide that walks these same steps and ticks them off as you go. New releases are listed in the Changelog.
